      Advantages

      Disadvantages

If Angel of Darkness ruined Tomb Raider. for you this game will bring you a renwed sense of hope

      Short Review

      Story-6/10

A Competent storyline for a tomb raider game this time its about the legend of King Arthur. Stunning voice acting by Keely Hawes the voice of Lara Croft definitely engrosses you in to the story far more then it deserves to

      Visuals-7/10

For a game that is 4 years old the graphics still hold up quite well, with good shadow and blooming effects and stunning vistas of the enviorment

      Sound-8.5/10

The music is greatly suited for each of the levels enviorrment. guns, collapsing buildings they all make the nice loud noise you expect to hear

      Gameplay-7/10

Overall the gameplay is smooth with a fairly engaging story, smooth framerates, well acted cutscenes and exciting vehicle sections

But what lets it down are the extremely uninteresting and unengaging boss fights, and leap of faith camera positioning

But it is still miles above Angel of darkness

      Length-6/10

A 6 hour storyline and some time trial stages added in create a fun if short game

Although there are some perks for the collecting whore within you with treasures to find and costumes to unlock (Unlocking the black bikini outfit for lara Croft is especially rewarding and nice to admire).... Ah damn Im writing my thoughts again

The DLC package will further increase gametime

Well the game is now about £6 so there is very little point renting it so its a definite buy

      8.2/10

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Overall extremely fun and a must-have for a Tomb Raider fan

After not owning a Tomb Raider since the brilliant Tomb Raider 2 (TR2), and playing the awful Angel of Darkness I took the plunge on getting Tomb Raider: Legend (herein TR:L) on the 360 after briefly playing part of it on the PS2.
What struck me was how easy the game was to pick up and follow the controls, almost like I was back with TR2 except with infinitely better graphics.
The storyline is non-linear with a handful of levels being played as flashbacks, something which added a new dimension to the game in terms of character development for Lara. The levels were new and exciting and genuinely gave me a bit of a rush and times, and upon beating certain bosses, a sense of achievement. This may be the sad gamer in me, but in reality very few games have done this for me!

Talking of bosses, throughout the game some were very straightforward; a little too straightforward at times, but then other bosses I found to be outrageously difficult to beat, both types being frustrating in their own ways.

As I mentioned, the fun gameplay is helped greatly by the simple, straightforward controls, but the game lacks depth. Although struggling many-a-time with bosses, there were certain levels which I breezed through, barely batting an eyelid. A saving grace to the longevity of the game is that you can't shoot your way everywhere. When you are stuck in certain rooms, you really have to put your logical head on and attempt to solve the problem rationally, which is a nice dimension to have, not just the mindless, aimless shooting which many games often play to nowadays.

Overall, the graphics are decent, not groundbreaking. The gameplay is fun, if a little short. But this really is Tomb Raider back to its original best, and long may it continue.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        play it!

I brought tomb raider legend for the x box 360 in September, originally as a present for my husband. I have since become obsessed with this amazing game.

This is the seventh tomb raider game in the series. The storyline follows both Lara's past in a playable and flashback form and present. The plot revolves around the legend of King Arthurs Excalibur, which seems to have almost identical legends in ancient history in other countries. This links with her memories of her past, and revelation of what happened to her friend who she believed died, and the disappearance of her mother and learning of what could clear her father's name.

You visit in the game many exotic locations including Bolivia, Peru, Japan, Africa, Kazakhstan, Nepal and surprisingly a run down museum in Cornwall, UK where she finds a tomb hidden in the museum.

The game play is challenging, with incredible {but not very believable} action and mind blogging logic puzzles. There is something in this game for every one, even if it is just exploring the Croft mansion and making Lara try on outfits!

The graphic in this game are excellent for the time of release, you can see dirt on Lara's skin and rips in her clothes, in this way it is very realistic. The action is unbelievable in the way I can't believe that a human, especially of Lara's build having such agility, strength and stamina.

This is a game worth buying unlike some games the cut scenes are interesting and the plot is deep and captures your mind. It makes you want to play to unfold the plot, but be warned it does take awhile to learn the controls as there is a lot of action to be done.

        a good game!

Finally the fantastic game for pc has arrived on the 360 packed with hours of fun and pretty easy achievements to collect. The game continues from where tomb raider angel of darkeness left off, made by a different game studio the game has a different feel to those classic playstation and pc titles which i think is better. The game for 360 even on hard is relatively straight fowrard and the game is an easy 1000 gamerscore. The graphics have been updated and i think they look even better than the version on the pc. this is a game that you will not be dissapointed with if you buy it, downsides to the game are it can be a little to easy and a little to hard. Some puzzles take the mick and a really simple but others are ver difficult. The game lacks the inbetween difficulty which most games need. Overall this is a great game full of action packed fun, well worth it.
