Advantages: Good fun with another human to play against

Disadvantages: Poor single player and limited stand up game

This game was talked about all over the internet, people waiting for it's release and in the time since the game was announced and delayed, then it disappeared then it came back to be released the popularity of the sport had grown so much that this game was always going to sell by the bucket load.

The game has great character graphics, a good complex fighting system and some other nice trimmings.

For fans of the sport all the big names are there and for the most part the onscreen representation of them is perfect, from how they look to how they fight.

The problems I have with the game, that while it's a good first effort of the sport, it feels like some bits were left out just so they could put them into the next instalment of the game.

The single player game is pretty weak, you can play a whole career in 2 days of gaming and gets very repetitive as you fight the same 4 people over and over once you're champion.

Surprisingly the part of the game they got most wrong was the stand up fighting. When on their feet boxers don't duck and weave, you essentially stand infront of each other and throw a very limited range of punches and kicks.

This games is perfect for fans of the sport or for those that will always have someone to play against (online play suffers from unpunished disconnects and also people using turbo controllers to beat you no matter what).

The one player game gets repetitive very quickly and leaves you feeling you have no reason to continue with the game.

Summary: good first attempt but a very hollow game behind the nice graphics
