Advantages: good co-op adventure

Disadvantages: a bit basic, cannot customize your character

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is actually a very fun hack-n-slash adventure game. I think the comparisons some have made to the PC game is unfair. From the outset this game is designed to be a basic gauntlet style game. The limited options are probably due to the fact this was not so much about role play as action.

The monsters are varied and you will even be able to fight a dragon in one of the 3 Acts. The game offers two more modes after you finish the main campaign. The first mode sets you as a less powerful character but once you finish this mode you get to unlock one of the three main characters with all their upgrades.

The real strength of this game is playing co-op with a buddy through the campaign. It really becomes a fun game when you can use the strengths of all three characters.

Summary: Very fun game for two people
