Second Sight (Xbox):
... would be really cool to have psychic powers, lottery wins and gambling coups as well as being able to tell if the hunky guy chatting you up is Mr Right or just Mr Right Now. Well in Second Sight you do get such powers however you have to use them for much more mundane things in this game such as battling an evil Russian scientist and also trying to discover a bit about your past. Pro Race Driver (Xbox) ... be honest for a racing game to stand out it eeds to offer something extra as there are so many games on the market and Pro Race Driver manages this. In the game you take on the roel of Ryan Makane who has witnessed the death of his father whilst racing and the objective of the game is to battle your way up through the ranks. Eventually as you win races and have enough points you are able to race off against another car owner, if you win then you get their car. What this games adds over and above a normal racing game is the role playing part to it where you get to manage your own career even choosing to switch teams along the way to further your career. Colin McRae Rally 2005 (Xbox) ... do enjoy playing my driving games and this is a pretty good effort of a game as it is quite challenging to play. As with previous efforts in the Colin Macray series you get a host of different courses each with their own race surface which means that you have to adapt your driving and racing style to suit the terrain. There are plenty of wooded stages on the gravel as well as the chance to drive across a frozen lake in Sweden. You get loads of cars to try out and that for me is part of the fun as once you have mastered the great 4wd of the Suburu you can switch to the 2wd Golf to really test your driving skill. Brian Lara International Cricket (Xbox) ... best cricket game available to date. Batting is fairly straight forward once you work out how to use the controls and you get the hang of timing your shots. You can score pretty easily, 20 runs an over is not unusual. Bowling is a bit more tricky though. Against the lower ranked side like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe you can usually wittle them out easily enough but as soon as you try playing anyone decent it gets much harder. You bowl at the stumps and you get hit through the on side. You bowl outside off stump, you get thrashed through the off side. It s very difficult to bowl in a way that keeps batsmen quiet.
