For those who are unaware, Crash Bandicoot is a long running title that began on the playstation. Now in yet another incarnation, it has been ported onto the XBox - and quite well actually. CONTROLS: The draw of this game is the fact that you can pick it up and play in seconds. There are no fast button combinations to master and you can basically run through the early levels to pass them without any difficulty. Smart gamers will soon wisen up and realise that speed isnt always the best tactic though. You use the left analogue stick to move, with the buttons use to jump and 'flatten' things should you wish. You can also attack things ... Read the complete review

This review is about the game Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex, this is a not bad game. I got this game for my 14th birthday, along with other games and the XBOX console. This game is about Crash Bandicoot trying to defeat Cortex once and for all. In the other Crash Bandicoot games, he never defeats Cortex, he always knocks him out, or lets him escape, all same story. The game stars the characters of Crash Bandicoot, Coco (Crash Bandicoot's Extremely Smart Sister), Aku Aku (An ancient witchdoctor that helps out Crash Bandicoot in his travels). These are all great good guys, i'm not a super fan of Crash Bandicoot, but it still entertains me when I’m bored, or fancy ... Read the complete review

Having played an old old version of Crash on PSX, I wasn't all that impressed with it even though it was a really popular game. Being a one player game (we prefer co-op) it wasn't my first choice, but i was talked into it by my partner 'for the kids to play'. So, being responsible parents we had to test it out first (our excuse anyway). The 3D effects are pretty good but nothing spectacular. Being such a playable game it doesn't do it an injustice either. There are no distractions from the game play with over made animations or effects. The story line is basically Crash has to defeat the evil Cortex by batling his way through a ... Crash Bandicoot used to be one of Sony's most praised mascots... Now he's on the GBA and the Xbox. After only recently purchasing my Xbox I felt that my only game Halo, was getting annoying because A, I was stuck in this strange level and B, Halo is not something you can just pick up and play; you have to dedicate hours completing that particular level which has been keeping you awake day and night for weeks... so I bought Crash Bandicoot. I own every crash game on planet playstation from Warped to Team Racing and I thoroughly enjoy playing them, so when I saw Crash Bandicoot for the Xbox on the shelf I ignored all the bad reviews in the magazines and ... Having been a massive fan of the previous Crash releases, this game was the main reason for my purchasing an x-box.... I am not disappointed. Don't expect anything new or different out of this release. It is really just a more visually appealing version of the last. In fact, for a game of this type the graphics are superb. However, why mess with a formula that so clearly works. So many games are ruined by their sequels trying to modernise the format so much that it is made unplayable (Oddworld). I honestly thoroughly enjoyed this game and will continue purchasing new titles in this series as they come out. A true classic. ... Read the complete review
