Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Xbox) ... both Need For Speed Carbon and Pro Street have come out since the release of this game, it still remains a classic in its own right. The Need For Speed games seem to have become somewhat of a genre on their own and are still progressing now. I found Most Wanted to be an incredibly enjoyable affair as I did my best to race through the blacklist of the best racers whilst trying too keep the police off my back and performing various tasks in order to proceed to the next level. Being given certain tasks for each blacklist level that you are on is great fun as you try and get the speed cameras to clock you, smash up the necessary amount of cop cars, hide from them ... DTM Race Driver 2 (Xbox) ... is one for all petrol heads. You can play this game as a basic arcade racer but it comes to life in career mode. Basically you are a budding race driver and have to work your way up from Formula Ford, Truck Racing to Indy Cars to name but a few. This will keep you interested for hours, each formula has its own challenges are the different vehicles do handle very differently. If you do want to use the arcade mode you do have the flexibility to setup your own championship, you can change the lenght of the race and on certain formulas have 2 races at each track, you can also decide how grid slots are decided, either you are front, back or random. Burnout 3: Takedown (Xbox) ... was a very amazing year for the video game industry, eh? Just take a look at all the heavy hitters like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Halo 2, both were selling so many copies that they were making more money then most of big budget Hollywood movies. We also can t forget about other huge games like Half Life 2 and Metroid Prime 2, both of these games are winning lots acclaim as well.
