Advantages: Realistic, Graphics, Sounds, Many Events (Lots Of Gameplay), Fun

Disadvantages: Not All Cars, Graphics Lacking Today..

I bought this Xbox game ages ago for around £20.00, but this excellent driving simulation game is available for just a fiver nowadays and it can be bought through amazon.co.uk for this small price. It's an excellent game and the graphics are still impressive to this date.

It's not so much a fun racing game but a real driving simulation. The physics are first-class and the racing is very realistic compared to other racing games. There are over 230 real cars to drive as well as many real world tracks. Cars come from over 40 manufacturers, including Ferrari, Ford, Audi, BMW, Acura, Dodge, Chevrolet, Honda, Lancia, Lotus, Mazda, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Mercedes, Volvo, TVR and even Pagani. The Pagani Zonda is available, which is an extremely expensive and amazing car.

You create your own profile and then take part in different events, earning experience along the way and leveling up your driver. This feature of leveling up your driver makes it more addicting as you can only unlock more events and cars at higher levels. Events include standard races against other cars as well as timed races. You can earn the gold, silver or bronze medals and unlock cash prizes as well as gaining experience from races.

The idea of the game is to fill your garage with all the cars and complete all the events. You can customise all your cars as well as tune them and buy new parts to improve them, such as gear for the engines, braking and handling as well as new spoilers and tires. You can add decals to the cars as well as paint them to your liking.

The graphics are really good but not quite up to scratch with later racing games on the newer consoles. The sounds are still very good however and the controls are excellent. The triggers are used for acceleration and braking, which enables you to apply different amounts of pressure and have full control of the car - or you can buy a steering wheel for the game. Overall, it's an excellent racing simulation game and very enjoyable to play, especially if you like cars and racing.

Thanks for reading,

Dan ©

Summary: An excellent racing simulation game with over 230 cars from 40 different manufacturers
