When you think xbox, you think Halo. Halo is the equivalent as to Mario and Nintendo, Sonic to sega. Halo captured the market on the original xbox and since then, has really set the benchmark. The single player campaign is addictive and you get a right buzz slaying those pesky aliens who make a comical noise when shot! The multiplayer action is addictive and still rivals the modern day games such as call of duty 4, thousands of people still play the game online. Halo is a great first person shooter from Bungie for the Microsoft Xbox console. This game the follows the story of a soldier called master chief, it is unusually deep for a shooting game and halo even has novels based on it. All you really need to know is that there aliens and you have to shoot them. The gameplay in halo is revolutionary, it blends first person shooting and third person vehicle into every action packed level. absolutely has to be the best xbox game ever, the game is set around 2055 (from what i can remember) where you are the master cheif, the last of your kind, you and the other survivors of the colony make a desperate attempt to destroy the "Halo" ring world, trying your best to lure off the coventant aliens from reaching earth, you are marooned on the world, along with the covenant, the mysteries inside, and the future of earth is in your hands. One of the great classics for X-Box, it was one of the best games out for a long time and then Halo 2 came out, which although not being as good, it is forgiven as Halo was unbeatably good. Great action gameplay with fairly high quality graphics and motion within the game. The idea behind the game was great too, the thought of the Halo shaped planet was spectacularly unheard of and the possibility of it being made into a film does make me want to see it as i suspect do most people who own an X-Box and who have probably played or owned this game.
