      Very helpful

      Hitman 2

Following on from the highly successful first Hitman game you will once again find yourself taking on the role of the mafia hitman who looks like the well known Italian football ref with the nice shiny head and a stare that will leave you with nightmares.

Known only as 47 the storyline opens with you having made the break from your former life and living peacefully in a small village tending the local churchs cemetry however this would not make for a very exciting action game so soon the local priest is kidnapped and it is back to the life of violence and death for you.

In all there are 20 missions in Hitman 2 and these will take you all over the world to a number of locations. In all the missions there is a target to be eliminated and as with the first game you have a host of weapons at your disposal including a range of small and large guns, knives and a garrott.

To complete the missions you will need to rely on a mix of stealth and straight forward shooting mayhem of which te latter is great fun made even better with the simplicity of the controls which in my view are a big improvement on version 1.

You encounter numerous enemies that need to be eliminated and there are also people you have to protect and avoid killing. In most cases your target is well protected and there are also civilians who get in the way and of course the police will get involved if they see you with a weapon.

You have the option to play this game in either third person or first person mode which is a really nice touch, personally I find the game easier in third person as you have greater vision and control over the character.

This game plays really well, all of the scenes are full of detail and very realistic, one of the best features in a gory sense is the way that the victims die when shot as each body sems to react differently as it is shot and it quite realistic.

I certainly found this game a challenge especially on the difficult setting which was a bit too tough for me. Definately worth checking out if you are into this type of game.
