Mashed is one of those games I just happened to stumble over and the great thing about it is that it is such a simple driving game that it almost instantly becomes quite addictive.

I like the fact that as well as some great racing tracks to conquer the added element of having a whole host of weapons to pick up and use as you race gives the game an extra dimension.

At times this game reminds me a bit of micro machines however I must admit if you play against the computer you will find it a tough opponent especially in Battle Mode when you battle against three other opponents then it seems like the other three all work together against you.

In total there are 13 tracks and a number of different vehicles for your to drive, there are also a number of different game options and by far the most enjoyable is the Battle Mode when you are playing with friends.

In addition to battle mode there are a number of other options with the Challenge Cup being the one that will enable you to unlock the new tracks as you compete in and win races. This is certainly a fast and furious racing game and the addition of weapons means that you can never relax until you have actually crossed the finish line as missiles and the like can appear from nowhere. In addition I enjoy playing both Flag Mode where you have to capture a flag from the other competitors and the Bomb mode where the idea is to not get caught with the bomb on your ca when it explodes.

All of the race tracks are well set out and they are diverse enough to make them both challenging and interesting with smooth graphics and because of the multi player fun to be had with this game it is good value due to the extended hours of fun you can have driving your mates off the track or even carrying out a vengeful air attack after you have been defeated.

This can be a hard game to track down, I have had it for well over a year now and looking on Play.com it retails for £12.99 although is currently not in stock so you may have to go hunting on e-bay for it.
