Electronic Arts have been busy creating Need for speed games since 1994. Back then, the original need for speed was a big hit and 11 years later in 2005, EA released they're 12th game in the series - 'Need for Speed: Most Wanted' which has failed to disappoint.

The first thing I noticed when I started to play the game was the detail. The textures of roads, buildings and cars are alot more detailed than any other need for speed game before it. For example, the very realistic trees cast shadows onto other surfaces, and these shadows move as the tree does in the wind. This is a big step forward for EA as trees in other need for speed games have been quite still and unrealistic.

If you have played need for speed underground 2 in the past, you will have noticed that the whole game is played at night, unlike most wanted, which lets the player experience different times of day and different weather conditions. The game uses these new featues very well, with realistic sun/water reflection, puddles and sunsets.

The actual gameplay is amazing, with lots to keep you away from getting bored of the game! In Career mode, your main objective is to get to the top of the blacklist, defeat your main rival - Razor, and win back your Bmw M3, which Raxor wins off you at the start of the game on a pink slip. Your journey up the blacklist will not be an easy one and you will experience lots of challenges, poilce chases and rivals along the way. You will need to build up a high bounty along the way by getting the poilce attention, but without getting caught! Ramming city cars, speeding, and destroying buildings will definently get the police on your tail. The more attention you get, the harder the chases become with helicopters, spike strips and road blocks getting in your way.
Career Mode also involves lots of different game types including circuit, sprint, Drag, tollbooth challenge (Racing on your own attempting to get to different tollbooths before the time runs out), and speedtrap (Driving as fast as possible through numerous speed cameras trying to build up a higher total score than your opponents).
Challenge series are 68 different callenges ranging from speedtraps to circuit races. You will also be given a random modified car for each challenge ranging from peugeots to porsches. Each challenge will be different and its your objective to complete each one.
There is also a quick race mode which allows the player to play single and multiplayer games. You can choose your car, modify it, and race on a game type of your choice.

Car modification in Most Wanted is a great feature. It is a lot simpiler than underground 2, but I dont think this is a bad thing. There are still many upgrades and appearance changes available including Engine changes, Transmission, brakes and turbo upgrades, paint jobs, window tints, spoilers, body kits and lots more. The possibilities are endless!!

The main storyline of the game, is shown through small Computer generated video clips shown at various points through the game. This is another improvment for EA, as need for speed underground 2 only showed images with audio over the top of it. This new feature gets the player into the game more making it more interesting.

Another fantastic feature of the game, is the sound! From my experience with car games, I would definently vote Most Wanted the most realistic car souning game ever. If you are someone who knows your cars, then you'll be able to identify each car with your eyes closed!

Overall I really love the game and would recommend it to any car entusiast, who's looking for a very realistic, enjoyable car game
