Once you have taken control of the territory you must race their champion in order to progress to the next level. This is done by completing a street race and canyon race. The canyon races are quite tricky and I found myself crashing out of them on many occasions. As with Most Wanted, the police are always a presence in Carbon, however apart from keeping your ride, there are no benefits to out running the police. There are ...more

Need for Speed Carbon is the second in the series after Need For Speed Most Wanted. I have played it on both the PC and the Xbox 360, and can safely say the Xbox provides a much better game play. Need for Speed Carbon is the second of the series on the Xbox 360 and using next gen graphics. The game got a solid rating of 8.2 from IGN which was up there with other racing games, such as PGR4. The aim of the game is to control all the territories, which are each made up of a number of sections, in which there are several races to be won. After you have control of the territory you race the boss, in Carbon Canyon, where you have to get as close as ...  Read the complete review

Rating:

Need for Speed Carbon is an action filled street racing game and is a lot of fun to play. In my opinion it is not the best in this genre but it is a good game and well worth playing. The action is set in Palmont City and your task is to take over from the other street racing crews in a series of races through the streets. You have history in the town having previously fled with some money and through a series of other characters you will learn the reasons for your departure. There are four areas that you need to take over each operated by a different crew, and these are further divided into zones, winning two races in a zone means it is ...  Read the complete review
