Advantages: Good Game, Tricky in Parts

Need for Speed Carbon is the second in the series after Need For Speed Most Wanted. I have played it on both the PC and the Xbox 360, and can safely say the Xbox provides a much better game play.

The basis of the game is to take over the territories of your rivals, who framed you for stealing money from them. This is done via a variety of races, sprints, lap races, drift races. Once you have taken control of the territory you must race their champion in order to progress to the next level. This is done by completing a street race and canyon race. The canyon races are quite tricky and I found myself crashing out of them on many occasions.

As with Most Wanted, the police are always a presence in Carbon, however apart from keeping your ride, there are no benefits to out running the police. There are no extra prizes for building up a rep that way.

A good game for those who like cars and racing, although not in the same league as Most Wanted.

Summary: Worth buying if you like racing games
