Advantages: Excellent combat

Disadvantages: Poor boss battles

This is an excellent game and has a great deal of playing time and smooth combat features which puts it up there with the best games that I have played this year on the x-box.

In the game you take on the role of the Prince of Persia and in this game you are pursued by a mythical monster called the Dahaka. In order to defeat the Dahaka the Prince must travel to the east to kill the Empress of Time.

The strength of this game is in the combat mode and although the levels are still quite linear in design you can explore a little more than was available in previous versions of this genre. Within the combat you have a whole host of attack combats as well as the ability to throw and strangle opponents and of course you can use two weapons at a time to increase the variety and power of your attacks. There is a lot of blood in the game to give you a greater sense of the power of your attacks.

One of the great features in the game is the Prince ability to rewind time by a few seconds so if you make a mistake you can take advantage of this to have another go provided you act promptly enough, this is really useful in some of the problem solving sections or if you miss a jump.

This game is not easy to master and even on the most basic difficulty setting it is still quite hard. This is a good thing as it helps extend the game play, however there is already a pretty good length to the game with lots of levels to keep you occupied. The only slight let down is that some of the boss fights do not offer the variety you might hope for.

The number of traps and puzzles for you to solve are still of a high standard and you will need to have mastered all of the Princes acrobatic moves to get yourself out of some of the environments you will find yourself in.

Visually the game is excellent with a good variety of scenes through which you must battle and the sound effects support the game play well.

Definitely a game I would recommend and it is available on Amazon for £16.99 new and for as little as £4.99 in the new and used section. Definitely five stars from me.

Summary: Great combat game

i think the bugs in the game spoil it too much.

A lot of info on gameplay is missing, along with more info on ablitys, controls and maybe more on the storyline too. Eddie (video game guide)

A great game, though I found quite a few bugs whilst I was playing so never got around to completing it, (it kept crashing on me in critical places!). Good review.
