Advantages: Great gameplay and graphcis, many cars and tracks, online mode

Disadvantages: Can get repetitive... eventually

Project Gotham Racing 2 was my second racing game on the original Xbox and it was amazing. The graphics in the game were a huge step up when this was released and were impressive throughout, including the cars, tracks and setting. Great textures and high quality lighting meant this was a realistic racing game.

The game is very addictive, with a huge array of cars to unlock and choose from, all with their own feel to them, and many tracks to race the cars on, such as Italy, Chicago and Scotland.

The game got a massive 9.5 rating from IGN which is extremely high and definitely well deserved in all aspects of the game. The aim of the game is to earn Kudos. This is done by completing racings and achieving the target - a higher difficulty level means a harder target and opponents, but a higher Kudos reward. Also, performing power slides, keeping damage to your car down and drafting well.

There is also an online mode which is just as addictive and great to improve your racing and compete with others, including your friends.

Summary: An amazing racing game, that any gamer should try out
