Project Gotham Racing 2 is a racing game for the Xbox developed by Bizarre Creations.

The game has a few different modes you can play in, the Arcade mode which offers a set of challenges for you to do, Time trials where you compete to race around circuits as fast as you can and the Kudos World Tour mode.

The Kudos World tour is where you spend most of your time, here you will be able to start working with basic cars such as a Mini and work your way to driving Ferraris, Porschers and other exotic cars. There are many different race types for you to play in from cone challenges which have you weaving through sets of cones, speed camera events where you must clock up a high enough speed to pass, timed runs where you must beat the target time, one on one races where you race against a single opponent and just regular races against a group of rival racers.

The racing is a satisfying blend between arcade and simulation, the game is forgiving enough to let you do some jumps and powerslide round corners but you will need to use the brakes and watch how you turn in to make sure you can beat your rivals or the clock.

The game has a large number of licensed cars from Ford, Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari and more, to unlock them you must earn Kudos, this is earned by competing in the races and performing stunts like drifting, jumping through the air and passing your opponents, you also get more Kudos for attempting races at higher difficulties. When you have a certain amount of Kudos points you will be able to get a Kudos token and with the tokesn you can buy cars, basic cars like the Seat Leon are only a single token but to unlock a Ferrari you will need a lot more!

The game also has a really great showroom feature where you can walk around a futuristic glass and metal show room which has all of the games cars in it in different rooms, you can buy exchange your Kudos tokens here but if you are too poor you can still take the cars out for a spin as well as admire them.

Graphics are excellent with superb car models and the game features a number of real world cities for you to race in.

Project Gotham Racing 2 is an excellent racing game and is a must have title for any car enthusiast.

Summary: A superb racing experience.
