Ahh memories! Do you remember when the best games consoles around were either the Nintendo 64 or the Sega Mega drive? The best game for me had to be Sonic the Hedgehog. Only the likes of Nintendo's Super Mario World came close in those, the good old days! Back in the present, we have all swiftly moved on. The old 64's and Mega drives along with their tangled wires are in a big box in the attic, gathering dust. The consoles have replaced by the X-BOX, PS 2 or Game cube and the old style 2D platform games have become 3D with better graphics and more varied game play. This is a review on the game Sonic Heroes. Sonic Heroes is the newest proper Sonic game. It is done in 3D shamefully, and has a whole lot of new characters for you to play with. This game is very similar to all the other Sonic games, but has its changes; it is a lot like Sonic Adventure 2, but different still. I remember some years back, when Sonic was first released on the Megadrive as it's flagship title, and the massive following the game took. It featured what were then, fast paced, colourful graphics, with fairly linear gameplay, but enough to keep the average gameplayer amused for an hour or two here or there. Since then I have pretty much lost interest with the Sonic genre, mainly due to me growing up a little, getting a job, a house and all that nonsense.
