It seems these days that a successful film franchise needs to have the inevitable spin off games as well. A number of these games just play off the title of the film and are in fact not that good. I’ve found this with all variety of games from James Bond to Chronicles Of Riddick so it was with slight trepidation. This is a review of the hit game called Star Wars Battlefront for the XBOX, which is also on other consoles such as PS2 and PC. As the movie franchise has had a big success they decide to bring out games to cover the story or a story that is new. Its been ages since I put anything up on here. I just wrote this review on 1UP for my blog last night. I didn't want to waste it for just there, so I decided to put it up here as well. I just grabbed at Circuit City for a mere $10 a few days back. Now as some of you may be aware, I won Battlefront 2 for the XBox off 1UP last fall. A first person/third person shooter game for the Xbox, Star Wars: Battlefront is set in the Star Wars universe and published by Lucas Arts and released in 2004. The game can be played both single player and multiplayer and is rated T for teen. This is a pretty slick game and is perfect for X-Box Live. I'm a major fan of the Star Wars films and have been waiting for a studio to make full use of the licence and translate the epic battles from the films into a decent game. There have been several half-baked attempts so far for the X-Box which have all been disappointing for me. I'm glad to say - with the exception of a few niggles - that this is great fun.
