Best star wars game (Star Wars: Battlefront (Xbox))

Advantages: Huge battles, fast paced, great multiplayer

Disadvantages: very repetitive, single player a bit boring, same as last game

Battlefront 2 is an excellent combination of strategy and FPS. You are flung into battles of your own choosing using men you have chosen to train on planets you have chosen to attack. There is a huge range of troops split into armies for the Republic, Droids, Empire and rebels. All the popular units from the films are available as are all the vehicles. The graphics are good but the AI isn't great. The atmosphere created however is one of the best with armies of 60 men clashing with vehicles and spacecraft flying overhead. Laser beams fly everywhere and it is definitly one of the best simulations of the star warrs films.
The layout of the game is as follows. Single player mode consists of fighting off infinite numbers of men with only a few on your own side. Certain objectives reap bonuses if completed and it is really just a spin off the multiplayer mode. However it is a much improved single player compared to that of the original. It does remain a bit lacking though. The multiplayer is much better especially with 4 players. The space battles are great fun though as you can land on enemy ships and sabotage theier internal structural framework matrices.
The Xbox live version is even better due to the increased number of 'intelligent' players, specifically humans. All in all a very good buy, with many hours of exciting multiplayer. Only real critism is that £30 is quite a lot to pay out for a game if you already have an already identical one in the form of batttlefront 1.
