... controller This game is great fun with the lightgun, the madcatz light gun I own is pretty decent although I believe there are other good ones out there, I dont like using the controller, however this isnt a flaw with HOTD3 in particular, just all console light gun games! I do have a problem in that they have brought in a auto reload function with a reload delay to balance this advantage, I find this a bit annoying and leads to problems when facing the fool and sun bosses. I had waited a long time for this game both in the arcades and the xbox version as I am a huge fan of the other games in this series. As I have owned this game on xbox since launch I think its possible to stand back and judge it ! Story House of the dead 1 had a simple storyline, HOTD2 had a shockingly rubbish one, HOTD3 represents the first attempt to put together a proper storyline, this is an improvement over previous games but not really that important ! House of the Dead III is a game I fund slightly disappointing as it did not really improve on the previous two games in the series and I was very glad that I had decided to rent it rather than purchase it. It is not a bad game and if you have not experienced the previous two versions then it is worth checking out but not if you have played either of these games. For those new to the game this is very much based on the arcade shooter games that make use of a variety of increasingly larger and larger guns to play with as you blast your way through hordes of zombies that attack you.
