Tennis, a sport that the greats are amazing at, the great matches amaze us, but to be honest, so few of us are actually any good at. Well for those like myself who's back-hand ends up on the rail way tracks (as in where the trains really go) and who's forehand smash usually results with my swan-diving the asphalt, Top Spin, is our friend. Published by Microsoft Game Studios, it was released in Q3 of 2003, to those Tennis watching fans, who are also partial to some video gaming action. Originally hitting the American market in October of 03, and Britain in November 03, Japan's releases was in July of 2004. The game was released to massive success, and was the Xbox's ... Top Spin (Xbox) Intro Top Spin is a tennis game, it was made by Microsoft and XSN Sports and is the best tennis game on the Xbox. Not only is it the best tennis game on the Xbox it's one of the best sports game on the Xbox. When the Xbox 360 came out Microsoft released Top Spin 2 on that because of the success of the original. The visually astounding games played like a dream, with the Dreamcast incarnations being nigh on arcade perfect. The Virtua franchise, which also saw an outing on PS2, was a major step forward for racquet-and-ball-'em-ups, eclipsing the multiplayer delights of Anna Kournikova's Smash Court Tennis (Playstation) and the inherent playability of Infogrames' underrated Amiga gem, ... Top Spin is a breathtakingly great XBOX exclusive game, and to be honest no other console could do this game justice, the graphics, the gameplay and the level of detail is extraordinary. In the career mode you tour around the world training, playing tournaments and earning sponsorships. You have to create your own player to play with in career mode using a fantastic create a player option which enables you to customise every single aspect of your players appearance and the clothes he/she wears. You start ranked 100 and slowly climb up the rankings until your number one, but you can slip back down the rankings if you lose tournaments. There are many fictional and real ... Excellent blend of first and third-person combat; outstanding multiplayer; lots of content.
Controls can take some getting use to; Coup de Grace finishers aren't very interesting.
