Advantages: Great fun

Disadvantages: Poor targetting system

Those wacky worms are once again making a welcome appearance on the x-box . I really enjoyed playing this game and as ever with worms the action is pretty much non stop with some of the action very firmly tongue in cheek.

Basically this is a fighting game featuring some rather cute looking worms who have a very definite dark side and overall there is a cartoon feel to the game with the way the graphics look and feel. In story mode you get to complete a number of different missions which do provide a decent amount of variety to the game. In fact at times in story mode the game plays more like a combat come strategy game as not all of the missions involve blowing up rival worms and in some the objective might be to blow other things up or to escape from a building.

For me the only real drawback to this game is the rather poor aiming system which s quite frustrating at times.

Visually the game is excellent with a very satisfactory audio input. The humour is very well done in the game especially when sneaking up on an enemy to leave a stick of dynamite in their vicinity.

In terms of difficulty levels the first few missions are really easy however you do notice the step up in difficulty levels as the game progresses and in some missions which have a time limit the challenge is pretty good. The replay value is ok bt it does become a bit repetitive after a while.

Overall this game is well worth looking into, not a classic but a solid four stars from me.

Summary: Fourth release for the x-box

Surely the targetting system is the main part of a worms game so 4 out of 5? The best is the original Oh No!
