This is quite possibly one of the greatest Wrestling Games of all time... as long as you dont actually wrestle the matches on it. In terms of storymode, and allowing the player to choose what they want to do before or during a match, with cutscenes and so on, the possibilities were endless. We finally had a game that allowed us to do what we wanted. During the storymode, which is up-to 4 Players, I might add, you have many, many things to do during the show. You control what the wrestler will do. So, for example, you can go into Kanes Locker Room and, if your feeling brave, steal something from his bag. This, sometimes, allows you to unlock new ... WWE Raw 2 was released in October of 2003 exclusively for the X-Box. Boasting better visuals, bigger roster and unique story mode could this be the best wrestling game ever? In short, no. But I'll get to that later. First off you have the exhibition mode which is notably more sparse than Smackdown's! For match types you get Single, Tag, Handicap, Cage, Hell In A Cell, Ladder and Hardcore. In Smackdown! you get a lot more match types including the Elimination Chamber and Last Man Standing. As you can see the exhibition mode offers less match types than Smackdown! The game features 60+ WWE Superstars including the likes of Triple H, The Rock, The Undertaker, ... Read the complete review

As a huge fan of the Smackdown series on the PS2 I have to say I was quite excited at the prospect of Raw 2 on the X-Box. Unfortunately though the excitement didn?t last too long. Graphics ? What can I say except, WOW! The graphics are absolutely stunning and the wrestlers except for a few acceptions (newer guys like Goldberg and Rey Mysterio) look exactly like there real life counterparts. Sound ? Most theme songs are bang up to date and with the X-Box being able to burn tracks you can now add any songs you like as wrestling themes. Gameplay ? I found the gameplay although a little faster than RAW still far to slow. The controls however are ... Read the complete review

Although the only games console that I own is a PS2, I was so desperate to try this "new & improved" wrestling game that I went round to a friends house and bugged him until he let me loose on the game. Good points The game has a poor season mode. I buy wrestling games for their season mode. I want to be challenged with different storylines and angles, not the same boring crap over and over again. That being said I did like the little things that they added into the season mode. You get the opportunity to do various activities such as attacking people, interfering in matches, stealing from other wrestlers, resting your ... Read the complete review

This is the second wrestling game released by THQ on the Xbox. Being a big fan of wrestling, I picked this game up just after it came out, expecting it to improve on the mostly terrible original Raw game. How wrong I was. Graphics The graphics on this game are brilliant. They are very realistic, and make the game seem as if you were watching WWE on TV. The wrestlers entrances are brilliant, and so are the in-match graphics. However, the in-match animation is poor and glitchy, and this makes the gameplay frustrating and dull. Gameplay The gameplay could have been good on this game, but poor animation means it is just ... Read the complete review
