Advantages: New Features, More Wrestlers, Season Mode

Disadvantages: Slow Gameplay, Has A Few Glitches

As a huge fan of the Smackdown series on the PS2 I have to say I was quite excited at the prospect of Raw 2 on the X-Box. Unfortunately though the excitement didn?t last too long.

Graphics ? What can I say except, WOW! The graphics are absolutely stunning and the wrestlers except for a few acceptions (newer guys like Goldberg and Rey Mysterio) look exactly like there real life counterparts.

Sound ? Most theme songs are bang up to date and with the X-Box being able to burn tracks you can now add any songs you like as wrestling themes.

Gameplay ? I found the gameplay although a little faster than RAW still far to slow. The controls however are pretty easy to pick up and after a few attempts you?ll be pretty familiar with them.

Features ? Has many of the match types that feature in the actual WWE such as: Hardcore, Street Fight, Ladder, Table, TLC, Cage, Hell In A Cell, Battle Royal, King Of The Ring, Tournament and Royal Rumble. A huge feature that Raw 2 has that the original didn?t have is a Season Mode where you can choose to interfere in matches, create allies as well as enemies and also unlock items. Although the Season Mode is fun to begin with the storylines become repetitive and it all gets very boring, very quickly. The create a wrestler mode though has been significantly improved with many options to choose from.

With over 50 wrestlers, many features and great graphics this game should be magnificent but it just isn?t. The Season Mode is all too familiar to a Smackdown gamer like me, the gameplay is a little slow for my liking and there are far too many glitches.

My advice is, if you have a PS2 get Smackdown but if you only have an X-Box then get this because it?s the best wrestling game the X-Box has to offer, in fact I think it?s the only wrestling game the X-Box has to offer.

Hi, welcome to dooyoo and thanks for sharing your first opinion. Good advice is to get around and read a fair few opinions to see what type of opinion is attracting the most reads. I also check to see who is reading my reviews and try to reurn the favour - helps to develop friendship and trust - Phil

nice op, me and my mates used to play the one on the n64, and it was pretty good fun on multiplayer, but havent played anymore since, i think they'd bore me a bit. Andy
