Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, TV and communal areas were clean and tidy and during my stay guests appeared to respect each others property and space. Water in the showers was thankfully always hot and the beds were comfortable. I stayed in a dorm of 6 beds, though less than half were taken up consistently during my time there, ensuring a little extra space which did come in handy. There...

... is the Gem of all hostels in brisbane. And I have visited the others before this one. It is located on a fantastic hill where you get the entire view of the city s sky scrapers and beautiful lights. Yet it s only a 15 minute walk to the main bars along the city river. You get a sense of being in australia here, you can just sit out on the nice wooden sturdy balcony perhaps playing a guitar or listening to someone else as there are alot of creative people at this hostel and I stayed here over a month. You are shrouded in palm trees and a nice pool with hammock. There is a nice TV Lounge that isn t stuffed away in some room, it has french windows so you can step out ...

This was certainly not a reflection of the establishment with regards to its presentation and upkeep, which were of a very high standard in terms of cleanliness and comfort, but rather a result of a poor location. Situated in the residential area of Honolulu University, the hostel was fairly isolated.
