Amsterdam -- a very popular destination. But where to stay? I can heartily recommend the Flying Pig group of hostels. Basic info There are three locations: downtown, in the suburbs, and on the beach nearby. I have stayed only at the Downtown hostel, which is excellent. Prices vary slightly by location and season, but you should get a bed for around 20 Euros (£13) per night. This includes breakfast!
