Shelter City Christian Hostel (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Rather than the City Hostel, I'm reviewing the branch of the Shelter Hostel called Jordaan, which is in the still relatively central area of Jordaan in Amsterdam. I originally booked the hostel from one of those hostel reservation sites (a predecessor to hostelbookers.com), I looked for the cheapest option in Amsterdam and paid little attention to the details, only later did I realise I had booked myself in at a Christian Hostel. I have to say, I was a little nervous about this and how it would mix with my enjoyment of death and black metal!?
