Also, check for availibility during the year because I would imagine that it gets quite full during the Jazz festival and the Extreme sports festival, both of which take place in Voss at various times of the year. The Dormatories are very comfortable, and have good views if you are on the lake facing side of the hostel, otherwise you get to look at the houses dotted around the mountain, and the cable cars- which is not altogether un pleasant. The dorms are en-suite and have a shower, and the beds are pretty good, but not the best in the buisness. Also, the top bunks are quite high and a pig to get into unless you like ... more

Voss Youth Hostel is situated on the shore of the Huge lake that is the first thing you see before you see Voss. The Hostel is only 10 mins walk from the centre of this delightful town and everywhere within the town is in comfortable walking distance. The Hostel itself is a popular place to ski from in the winter, so if you want to go there in the winter, book early to avoid bitter disappointment.
