Advantages: Pretty much everything but the price
Disadvantages: The price
Location:
It's opposite the bus/ train station so this is extremely convenient. It's fairly centrally located, you would need to use public transport to get a to a lot of places, but Sydney is so big this would be true about most hostels.

Rooms:
Clean and spacious. All rooms contains lockers, which is definitely a plus in my book! Apart from that, just your bogstandard hostel dorm.

Facilities:
Pool (on my first night there was an instructor offering quick scuba diving lessons for free), balcony (very high up with fantastic view), internet (several terminal located in reception - can get busy), cooked breakfast, 24-hour reception, cinema room (with very comfy beanbags).
On my first night, there was a bbq on the balcony, where I was able to experience my first kangaroo burger!

Overall:
This is one of the best hostels I have stayed at. More like a hotel (albeit a hotel with dorms). However, it is very expensive for a hostel. Yes, you get what you pay for, but personally, when I am budget travelling, I would rather just pay less and get less. ($40 for a 6-bed dorm as of March 2008).
Summary: Good if you fancy treating yourself.
