Youth Hostels in BeijingNewest Review: ... hostel is full of character and doesn't feel fake, run as it is by a Chinese family. There is a bar in the central courtyard, which is covered and also contains a ond full of koi carp. The food was pretty reasonable, though obviously it was much cheaper to walk down the road to a local restaurant. It was a good place to get toast for breakfast, which I could stomach better than noodle soup...! People of all nationalities stay at the hostel, in our room at the time I was there, there was an Aussie, me and my English mate, another English couple, a German guy, an American and a CHinese guy. I opted for the 4 bed dorm with en-suite and was extremely happy with the facilities. The main selling point of this hostel is the atmosphere, ... Read the complete review

There is a wide variety of rooms from private ensuite, dorm ensuite and dorm shared bathroom. The dorm rooms were clean and comfortable as well as being well heated in the winter (and they have air-conditioning for the summer). The shared bathrooms were, however, not the cleanest. They often had muddy floors and the toilets were frequently blocked-although this may be due to westerners throwing their toilet paper into ... Read the complete review
