Advantages: central.

Disadvantages: breakfast is rubbish

Bruges is a beautiful medieval city to spend a few days and there are a couple of good hostels to spend the night. I have personally stayed at Charlie Rockets Hostel which is a great hostel that is pretty cheap and has a cool American themed bar downstairs. The rooms are simple but cheap and we didn't have to book ahead which was good. We found that it was okay trying to find a bed in a dorm easy during the week but by the weekend most places where getting full so it would be a good idea to book ahead. Bruges is a very small city so which ever hostel your staying in you will only be a short walk to all of the attractions. Bruges can be quite expensive so we tried to make sure we took full advantage of the free breakfast we got with the room but we were a little disappointed by the small breakfast on offer.

Summary: Bruge is great place to visit and hostels are all very nice
