Youth Hostels in Brussels in generalNewest Review: ... adequate. The room was a nice big room and the bathroom was also a reasonable size. The Beds were comfortable. The hostel is loctated within a five minute walk from the main metro line through the citry and is very easy to locate as it had a big sign ouside it. The hostel had an excellant entrance through a courtyard with a fountain in the middle of it The hostel was very secure. I stayed in the Jacques Bre hostel last Ausgust. We stayed in this hostel whilst in Beligum over the weekend arriving into brussels at 3pm on a saturday afternoon from Paris, Surely a saturday afternoon was as good a time to visit as any. I booked a double private ensuite bathroom room for Euro90 from the Hostelworld.com website for myself and my girlfriend to enjoy. The hostel was more then adequate. The room was a nice big room and the bathroom was also a reasonable size. The Beds were comfortable. although this place looks new and is pretty clean......it sucks ! Suit and Tie Staff running around as they were running a 5 stars Hilton, Muzak (lift music) and doors closed from 10:00 til 16:00...very small bar with no atmosphere. The word "youth" has nothing to do here. Beside, it was overcrowded with school groups, which seems to be the major source of income here. Stay at the Centre Van Gogh, the other Youth Hotel Email : chab@ping.be http://www.ping.be/chab, very groovy and fun! ... Read the complete review

Although you can't book online they do take e-mail enquiries and bookings. They didn't want any groups over five so we booked as a four and a five and happily they took our booking. The online information we had for the place was sparse but I was told not to worry, as we'd ... Read the complete review
