The youth hostel we stayed at was part of the Danish National Youth Hostel Association and it felt like we were staying in a hotel. The hostel is right in the city centre and it is easy to get to most of the sights by bike. I'm afraid i can't remember the name of the hostel but it is a high rise building and had excellent facilities. The rooms were very clean and well equipped, we had an ensuite in our dorm. There are a few hidden charges, you have to pay a small charge if your not a member of the Danish YHA and you can't use your sleeping bags in the rooms instead you have to rent sheets which again costs a little more. It's only a few quid more but it adds up and is not as cheap as listed on websites. Copenhagen is a great place to visit but a little expensive so staying in one of the lovely hostels is a great way to keep your costs down.

Summary: great hostels make great base to explore this wonderful city
