Comrade Hostel (Youth Hostels in Moscow)
Member Name: cezzybunny
Advantages: Very friendly and useful owner, well situated Disadvantages: None
When I was last in Moscow, I ended up staying at Comrade Hostel in the Kitai-Gorod area of the city. A bunk bed in a 10 bed dorm costs £13 at the moment, which is relatively cheap by Moscow standards! The hostel is run by an extremely helpful and knowledgeable young Russian called Dennis, who provides no end of useful information. During my stay he took myself and some other travellers out for authentic Georgian food in a random area of Moscow, and also booked a train ticket for me using his personal credit card so I could make sure I got the train I wanted. Summary: A great place to stay and figure your way around Moscow! |
