Advantages: cheap, not too far from central London

Disadvantages: noisy, not good part of town

EuroTower is a huge youth hostel in Stockwell. As the name suggests, it is a tall tower and although it is not very attractive, it certainly can house quite a few people and is always full of tourists and quit elively. The rooms are clean and reasonably comfortable and there are even rooms with double beds which is not very common in youth hostels. The double rooms have wash basins which allows you at least to brush your teeth and wash your face in private.

The showers and toilets are OK although not terribly clean which is not surprising when you are sharing with so many people.

Downstairs there is a cafeteria where meals are served (palatable, for the price) and there is also a bar which always seems to be full and quite noisy. If you want to sleep at night, you better ask for a room in the upper levels!

The hostel is not too far from Stockwell tube station (Victoria and Northern lines) and is in Zone 2. Stockwell is not the best of areas and at night walking back to the hostel can be a bit scary. The hotel does have a free shuttle to the tube and to Victoria station.

Overall it is a great place to stay is you are on a tight budget, very cheap compared to other London places and reasonable value for money.
